We have 3 different types of mooncakes for this mid autumn festival. The first photo is traditional lotus seed paste egg yolk mooncake. The second photo is snow skin rabbit shape moon cake, which is so cute. The third photo is homemade mooncake, made by my mom. Mooncakes are usually very sweet and with variety of fillings such as lotus seed paste red bean paste etc. However in our family we like to eat mooncakes without fillings . Therefore my mom will make her special moon cake very year during mooncake festival. This humble looking mooncake by my mom is our family's favourite.
